Getting Started

Cantrip is a league manager for at-home Magic: The Gathering playgroups. This page walks you through creating your first league and running your first event.

Creating a League

  1. Sign in with Google or Discord from the login page.
  2. After signing in, click Create a new league and give it a name and choose card art that represents your league.

Adding Members

Cantrip is desiged to be used so that only the person responsible for running events needs to make an account. From the league page, the Add Members link can be used to manually add playesr into the league that can later be added into events.

Alternatively, the Copy Invite Link button on the league's "manage" page can be used to share a single link that anyone can use to etiher claim an existing member slot or create a new one. This page also allows you to copy member-specific invite links that will allow users to claim that particular slot.

Running an Event

Click the New Event button from the league page, and customize the event name, event type, and whether or not it should be a rated event. On the next screen, choose the players who will be participating in the event. Then, start the event and let Cantrip handle the pairings for you!
