Terms of Service
These are the Terms of Service for using Cantrip. You must read these terms and agree to them before using the service or creating an account. If you do not agree, do not use Cantrip.
We may modify these terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Cantrip after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with the new terms, you should stop using the service.
Acceptable Use
You must follow these rules when using Cantrip.
Cantrip is for people ages 13 and up. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
Use the service in good faith. Cantrip is provided for organizing and tracking Magic: The Gathering leagues and events. You agree not to abuse, disrupt, or exploit the service.
Cantrip is not a platform for harassment or bigotry. All users deserve a respectful environment.
- You may not harass, abuse, threaten, or incite violence towards any individual or group
- You may not distribute anyone's personal information without their consent
- You may not disparage any group of people based on age, disability, ethnicity, gender identity, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic
You may not interfere with Cantrip's operation.
- You may not attempt to gain access to another user's account
- You may not attempt to disrupt or tamper with Cantrip's servers or services
- You may not place undue burden on Cantrip through automated means
One account per person. You may not create multiple accounts. You may not sell, trade, or transfer ownership of your account to another person.
Failure to comply has consequences. If you violate these terms, we may at our sole discretion:
- Issue you a warning
- Suspend or delete your account
- Restrict your future access to the service
Accounts
You are responsible for your account and any activity under it. Accounts are created by signing in with a third-party provider (Google or Discord). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your provider accounts. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are inactive for an extended period.
Intellectual Property
Magic: The Gathering is a trademark of Wizards of the Coast, LLC. Card images and mana symbols are copyright Wizards of the Coast. Cantrip is unofficial fan content permitted under the Wizards of the Coast Fan Content Policy and is not produced by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Wizards of the Coast.
The Cantrip name, logo, and original content are the property of their respective owners. You may not use Cantrip's branding without permission.
Limitation of Liability
Cantrip is provided "as is". We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the service, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Cantrip is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.
You use Cantrip at your own risk. In no event shall Cantrip or its operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Privacy
Your use of Cantrip is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what information we collect and how we use it.
